What is mySanitas?

The mySanitas app is a new virtual care service available on smart devices (mobile phones, tablets and computers) that gives Sanitas patients access to Sanitas healthcare teams. You can access mySanitas through the app or website (portal) at mysanitas.com/fl or mysanitas.com/tn depending on your state. You can connect via chat or video (video available in Florida only) instantly or make an appointment in the app to schedule an in-person visit at any Sanitas Medical Center in Florida and Tennessee

 

Does mySanitas have operating hours?

The app and website (portal) are available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, including holidays.

For care on demand, hours of availability depend on your state.

Florida patients: 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, including holidays

Tennessee patients: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.

 

What language is mySanitas available in?

mySanitas is available in English and Spanish. Once you register, you can set your language preference.

Who is part of the Sanitas care team?

Sanitas care teams include physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, nurses, care coordinators, clinical social workers, nutritionists, and patient service teams.

 

What doctors and health professionals will I connect with virtually?

You’ll always connect with Sanitas doctors and other health professionals in the mySanitas app and online. They are employed by Sanitas––working together to care for you. They collaborate your care plan and have access to your medical record, so you have care continuity regardless of who you see. For on demand care, we have a team available 24/7 for patients in Florida, and a team available between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, for patients in Tennessee. For scheduled telehealth or in-person care, you’ll have access to the care teams you see regularly in person.

 

What services are offered through mySanitas?

You can access a complete set of services in English or Spanish, which is seamlessly continued whenever you need in-person care at a Sanitas Medical Centers or at home. These services include:

  • Care now: Access to urgent care (24/7 for Florida patients. Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm for Tennessee patients)
  • Appointments: Book and manage past, current, and future appointments
  • Care programs: Support needed to help manage your health conditions
  • MyHealth: Access and view your health record
  • Symptom checker: Virtual assistance to help you learn about and care for your health concerns
  • Health library: Learn about common conditions, facts, symptoms, treatment, and care and more

 

What type of medical care can I get with mySanitas?

The app and patient account portal offer primary and urgent care services. You can start a virtual visit anytime, day or night, or schedule an in-person visit at a Sanitas Medical Center if:

  • you don’t feel well and it’s not life threatening
  • you’ve had a non-life-threatening injury or accident
  • you’re not sure if you need to go to urgent care or the ER
  • you’re having trouble managing an ongoing health condition such as diabetes, asthma, respiratory conditions, hypertension, heart condition, mild depression, or anxiety
  • you need an annual wellness checkup
  • you need immunizations or preventive care tests
  • you have any health question or concern

We do not provide emergency medical services on the app or online. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Who can use the mySanitas app or online patient account website (portal)?

  • mySanitas is currently available only to Sanitas patients residing in Florida with a Florida Blue health insurance policy or residing in Tennessee with a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee health insurance policy.
  • Florida Blue and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee members who have had a prior visit at Sanitas can register for the app or account portal.
  • Florida Blue HMO and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee members who have selected Sanitas as their primary care doctor can register for the app or account portal.
  • SanitasCare members.

 

How does mySanitas work with my health insurance?

The app services work the same as if you were to visit a Sanitas Medical Center in person. Once Sanitas confirms that you are an active participating health insurance member, you’ll be able to access services through the mySanitas app or online patient portal. Sanitas services will be billed to your health insurance plan to ensure they are applied to your deductible and out-of-pocket costs, based on your coverage. Your health plan may cover all or a portion of the costs, and you will be responsible for the standard copayments and/or deductibles for services as described in your health plan.

 

Is mySanitas available in other states?

Currently, mySanitas is only available in Florida and Tennessee. Access in other states will be available in the future.

How do I create an account for the mySanitas app or online patient portal?

  1. Download the mySanitas app from Google Play or the App Store.
  2. First-time users will be directed to set up an account.
  3. Simply sign in using the mySanitas log in and password you set up.

Creating your mySanitas account: Enter your email address, first and last name, date of birth, sex, mobile and password. When you want to start a service, Sanitas will verify your Florida Blue or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee insurance status.

Note: If you are a Florida Blue member with a myBlue Connected Care plan, you do not need to have a separate Sanitas account. You can log in to your Florida Blue member account and follow the link to mysanitas.com.

What are the technical requirements needed to access mySanitas on a computer?

  • PC operating system: Windows 7+; Apple operating system: OSX 10.6+

  • Microphone (most computers have a built-in microphone)
  • High-speed Internet connection of at least 3.0 Mbps download / 1.0 Mbps upload
