I was born in Ecuador and moved to the US at a later age. Because of that, I am fluent in English and Spanish. At about the age of 15, I remember being fascinated by the power of anesthesia. Because of that, I decided to learn more about medicine and developed a passion for the field. I hope one day to continue my studies to become a specialist in anesthetics. When I did my residency, I had a doctor friend who let me watch her perform surgeries. This incredible experience was very instrumental in my career. I believe my medical experience in both Ecuador and the US has helped me become a more well-rounded medical professional. A great day at work is when a patient with a chronic condition comes for a follow-up visit and I see they’re continuing to manage their condition well! I want patients to know that, at Sanitas, they will find the best preventive care. I think this is the best aspect of Sanitas because preventative care helps people stay healthy even after their visits are over. I like to listen to my patients and dedicate as much time as needed to learn about each individually and fully understand their needs. I am a very calm person and, when I get home from work, I like to disconnect and focus on being a mother and spending time with my family. I like going on walks and gardening. I also like to do yoga whenever I can.
