As a professional in mental health, my goal is to make a change in the world, one person at a time. A good day at work means that I took care of the emotional and/or mental needs of my patients and was able to contribute to their happiness by providing guidance and an achievable plan to meet their personal goals. Born and raised in Colombia, we came to the U.S. for my husband’s job and now live in Tampa. I decided to get my degree in clinical social work because I’m service oriented. As a bilingual, dedicated and compassionate behavioral health counselor, I bring extensive experience and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals in their mental and emotional well-being. With a strong foundation in prevention, psychoeducation and counseling techniques, I help patients to overcome their challenges and achieve positive behavioral changes. When I take off my work coat, I love taking care of my family. I also enjoy dancing, doing handicrafts and walking in nature—it helps me develop new ideas and expand my creativity.
