For the past two years at Sanitas, I’ve been working as a chronic care registered nurse. Providing dedicated care, support and education, and building strong bonds with my patients and their families have been my main goals. I treat my patients with empathy and respect to develop better outcomes for improving their health and their lives. My patients can be comfortable communicating with me in either Spanish or English. I was born and raised in Villa Clara, Cuba, and came to the United Stated in 2003 with my family looking for a better future and opportunities. I decided to become a nurse practitioner to fulfill my dream of helping others in need and make an impact in their lives, a dream that started in Cuba when I went to a medical school to study nursing. When I take off my coat at the end of my workday, I enjoy spending time with my son, and cheering and supporting him in his baseball team practices and games.
