I was born in Havana, Cuba and Spanish is my first language, although I am fluent in English as well. In my fourth year of medical school, I moved to Spain to attend University Complutense of Madrid where I graduated in 2006. I was a Primary Care Physician there until moving to the U.S. in 2009. I chose to pursue a career in medicine well after graduating. I initially wanted to exclusively pursue research but after interacting with patients, I knew that being a doctor was my true calling. I have the opportunity to combine multiple disciplines all while helping and comforting others in the community. A good day at work for me is when I can provide exceptional care for my patients. I love my job and it never feels like work to me. At Sanitas, we provide multidisciplinary care for the community. The entire team is made of up experts and we all genuinely want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids. My family is my rock, and I don’t know what I would do without them. We enjoy hanging out by the pool, barbequing, traveling, and fishing.
