At Sanitas, we take care of the whole patient—medical, mental health, nutrition and education on chronic care. In the BeWell program, I meet people of all ages, races, and cultures, who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and addiction. The program encompasses coordination between doctors, behavioral health counselors and psychiatrists. Together, we’re able to provide whole healthcare, whether physical, mental, or emotional. A fulfilling day is when I’ve been instrumental in easing someone’s emotional pain, taught them how to use therapeutic skills to decrease their mental health disorders, and have helped them believe that things can change for them. Born in Massachusetts, I now live in Nashville. I was inspired to have a career in healthcare because I believe in people being able to “start over” when they’ve experienced addiction, trauma, depression, or anxiety. I love to bring my patients hope. When I’m not at work, I like to walk with my dogs, and I enjoy taking care of my plants and watching good movies.
