As a physician assistant at Sanitas, I treat my patients as family––with personalized and compassionate care. I speak both English and Tagalog for patients who have a language preference. A good day at work is when a patient trusts my care and brings their family to me for help. There’s no greater reward than the satisfaction in knowing that I’ve helped others feel better, and encouraged them to lead a healthier lifestyle. Born and raised in the Philippines, I come from a family of physicians and health care professionals. I was a doctor in the Philippines but I now live in Tallahassee. It’s a privilege to serve my community and an opportunity that I don’t take for granted. I was given an opportunity by Hispanic physicians who petitioned the Florida Board of Medicine for me to become licensed as a PA after a thorough credentialing and qualifying exam. I’ve been a licensed prescribing PA for 30 years and have extensive experience in primary care, women’s health, urgent care and pediatrics. When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family, love to travel and cook. I’m also an active board member, and event and fundraising chair of Big Bend Filipino American Association in Tallahassee. I participate in various community events and am involved in the nonprofit’s football concessions which help fund scholarships.
