Improving a patient’s health through examination and preventive care is what motivates me and reassures me that I’m making a positive difference in their lives. Every day is a good day because I’m able to connect with my patients. Until a few years ago when I decided to move to Florida, I lived in my birthplace of Puerto Rico. We moved to the U.S. to look for new professional challenges and different options for my family. I decided to study medicine because I love the human body and understanding its complicated functions. I have a passion for medicine and, with more than 20 years as a doctor, I enjoy everything about being one. Recently, I’ve been more focused on geriatric patients––giving them the care they need now, since they were there caring for us. When I get home from work, I know mine was a job well done because I take care of every patient’s needs before leaving work. I really want to end my days knowing that I did my best.
