As a registered dietitian, I’m passionate about my patients’ health and well-being. At Sanitas, I’m happy to help others learn about nutrition and ways it can improve their health. It’s a good day at work when a patient tells me I’ve helped them and that their life has improved. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. When I was 9, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and had childhood obesity. In my 20s, I was learning about nutrition and its role in my health, which motivated me to go back to school for a master‘s degree in human health and nutrition. I wanted to share this information and help improve people’s lives better. I came to the U.S. to learn English and lived in New York City for 13 years. I’m now fluent in both Spanish and English, and enjoy speaking with my patients in either language. Every day after work I dedicate time to exercise. It’s played an important role in my health and I don’t want to do without it.
