At Sanitas, I care about my patients’ health outcomes and their quality of life. I enjoy getting to know them and listening to their needs. I encourage open communication so they can be a part of their care as much as I am. I make sure everyone is treated as a whole person and not just for their symptoms. It’s a good day at work when all my patients have been seen and treated, they’re doing well at managing their chronic conditions and nothing has escalated to a hospital stay. Originally from Puerto Rico, I came to the U.S. at a young age and grew up in Tampa. I made sure to keep my Spanish in practice because I’m proud of my heritage and my success. I decided to go back to school for an advanced nursing degree so I could help my patients even more. Family time is very important to me so I spend much of my time off with my four children and five grandchildren. I also make time for myself and enjoy gardening, reading and travel.
