I was born in Jovellanos, Cuba, and moved to the United States in 1998, seeking a brighter future away from an oppressive government system. I settled in Tampa, where my passion for medicine began to flourish. My passion for medicine started in childhood, playing doctor with my dolls, inspired by my mother’s work in a local hospital. I graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1994 and faced challenges in the U.S. due to language barriers and family responsibilities. After my children grew up, I returned to school to become a nurse practitioner, eager to help others heal and manage chronic illnesses. A perfect day at work for me is one that flows smoothly, regardless of the workload. It’s a day when I can dedicate quality time to my patients, educating them about their conditions and the importance of preventive screenings. I strive to ensure my patients feel valued and cared for, as they are the heart of what we do at Sanitas. I believe that excellence in patient care is our top priority, and I am here to address your health needs with compassion and dedication. When I take off my coat, I enjoy spending time with my family and keeping up with advances in medicine.
