Because the core values of Sanitas align with my own values, working at Sanitas is my dream job. As a nurse practitioner here, I treat my patients like family. I offer compassion and respect toward my patients, and I’m always truthful and honest. I also welcome and respect the opinions of others. I’m known for always having a smile on my face, which I hope is contagious to those around me. I decided to go into medicine at a young age because I liked helping and caring for others. My mother taught me to do good to others no matter the circumstances, so I realized that the best way to follow my passion was to become a doctor. I attended medical school in Cuba and when I came to the U.S., I studied to become a nurse practitioner. As a Christian, I try to live by example––caring, helping, serving, respecting and showing compassion toward others. When I’m not at work, I spend time with people I love. I like to play games outdoors, go to the movies, or spend a sunny day at the pool or beach with my husband and children. Sunday mornings are spent at church where we feed our souls with love from God, then share that love with others.
