I grew up and earned my medical degree in Colombia, and did my internship and residency in Puerto Rico. Having a job that allows me to help people was always important. While you can do that in any profession, medicine gives me the greatest reward. As a pediatrician, I focus on caring for children. They’re the most vulnerable and trusting of all patients, and they deserve the best start we can give them, including their physical and mental health. It’s very satisfying to know I’m improving the well-being of children and their parents. If you’ve never been to Sanitas before, it’s a company with a great deal of experience. Our staff is highly trained, and we place patients at the center of everything we do. To keep my energy level high, I spend a lot of time on fitness—running and working out. Nothing is better than a nice run at the end of the day to get me ready for the next day’s challenges.
